another dose of princess...

Realizing that Kenzie's Doodles is dangerously close to becoming another craft blog - I am posting our daily project. Again.

It's still pretty cold here and we have to find things to entertain us indoors. I've accidentally on purpose brainstormed up some daily craft activities to keep us engaged, active, and away from the TV. It's just what we do. These are our daily doodles, I guess.

Today, was another princess day and it occurred to me to make a princess wand to replace the plastic store bought one that had been pretty much beaten to death. Rummaging through drawers and stashes - we collected enough princessy paraphernalia to create a double sided magic wand (one side has a K, the other is just embellished with circles). While I did some of the harder assembling bits - Kenzie also used our materials to create necklaces, out of straw "beads."



oh what fun you can have with a handful of straws, LOTS of glitter, some ribbon and paper. Oh, and a stapler and glue.



The hazard of the project is that Mama has to "Abracadabra!" spend the next three hours acting like a frog, rabbit, pelican, and making cheeses (Kenzie speak for grilled cheese).
