We've got the sillies today
Today has been eventful and full of giggles.
To start - while I was answering some emails, Kenzie was talking my ear off (as usual). Twisting in my chair to give her my attention - I suddenly went from sitting on the chair to crashing noisily to the floor. Kenzie's eyes got wide, I cracked up hysterically, and she started collecting the pieces of my broken chair. (um, to my defense - the chair was a folding wooden chair. It's been used heavily for many years, and really isn't meant for that). Not to worry though - Kenzie exclaimed: "Don't worry Mama, you can BrEaK the chairs. We've got MORE!" I'm sure the humor of the situation doesn't accurately reflect in my words, but she was so concerned & flabbergasted about what she'd just witnessed. Her expression was very perplexed. I'm sure the loony mother laying on the ground laughing uncontrollably was quite a sight.
And, an out of the ordinary thing for us is a bubble bath at noon. The girl wanted bubbles. I gave her bubbles.
She created beards. Rinsed. & repeated.
And, this was our daily craft project: A robot made of boxes, foil, and bits & bobs. This was super fun to make. We named him Robox. He's rather shottily put together, but he does a nice job of scaring the cats away from the warm sunny spot on Kenzie's craft table.
Finally, another good giggle (for me anyway) - came when Kenzie tried to play a video that we checked out at the library. Most of these videos are a sheer waste of time - they are always scratched and rarely play. This one was no different than the others. As it started skipping in the first frames - Kenzie ripped it out of the DVD player and yelled:
"This one is all itchy too!"
(meaning - "scratched" of course).
***edited later in the day, after another successful attempt at watching the video:
"I know maybe we can take it to the doctor! (mama says no..doctors can't fix broken movies). OH! I know...maybe Handy Manny can fix it!!!"
