Falling Waaaaay Behind...

This past weekend was an interesting flurry of activities and we did a really poor job of maintaining the advent chain! We've removed three links today with things that we'll cram into today, but yesterday we did go on a Neighborhood sleigh ride, which was most fun. It was an activity not included on our chain, so it was a bonus activity!

Along with the sleigh ride, which included two horse drawn carriages which toured our entire neighborhood display of Christmas lit houses...there was a Jolly Santa in someone's garage handing out candycanes and cookies. Kenzie loved the foodstuffs, but was ::not:: a fan of Santa. This was as close as we could get. She nibbled on her treats throughout the sleigh ride.

The ride was very quiet and peaceful (with exception of a child exclaiming: "this is BOOOOORING," and a family losing one of their festive Santa hats over the side of the sleigh). The weather was brisk, but not cold. It was perfect. I really enjoyed it.
Each time I glanced at Kenzie - she had this same smitten grin plastered on her face - so I can assume she did too.
