Advent: Day 4
Today's link was:
I helped Kenzie get into the swing of it, by writing the first lines, as recited by her. She took her letter writing very seriously, although I don't think she "got" the childhood importance of writing to Santa and telling him what she REALLY wanted for Christmas.
Perhaps her list demonstrates this best. What this little darling wants for Christmas is:
A froggy
Cars
And, an onion!!
Hmnn...it's a very rare occasion when an onion will actually pass over her lips and enter her mouth! I guess she won't be difficult to please this year....
She also drew Santa his very own picture (perhaps buttering him up?) of a lizard. It was a great picture for a 2.5 year old!!
When she was through with the writing and drawing, I told her we'd need to mail it. She licked the letter!!! He..he... We did stamp it and mailed it off to the North Pole.
And, an unrelated to Advent activities incident: Yesterday, Kenzie bonked her head resulting in an imaginary ouch, which was promptly band-aided. An important lesson was learned, as she did this all by herself. Never put a bandaid in your hair! We finally got it out with much anxiety at bath-time. It was stuck right on her hairline, but came off with a little soaking of soap and water, and the loss of only a ..few.. tidbits of hair.
