Advent: Day 1
Well, we've kicked off of our advent activities this morning. Kenzie and I made our chain last night, and I let the order of the activities fall as they would - with an exception of putting the snow activity first - to celebrate the nice fresh snow. Therefore, this was the first link that Kenzie pulled:
It is our intention to complete the Advent activity when Doug is home, but the snow is more fun when fresh..and when the warm sun is out. Today is sunny and gorgeous. The schools were cancelled...so all the kids are out enjoying the snow fall.
And, sad to say - but I've already fudged the activity a bit. I needed to scoop the driveway, the snow was soft and fluffy (and not prime snowman building snow), and there were a fair amount of kids outside to play with her...so.... Here's our Advent Day One Pictures:
I'll be going to a girlie-function tonight, so I shall suggest that daddy assists Kenzie in making a paper snowman if he has time. He's entertaining her, his friend, and her birthday-sharing-pal, Mia tonight.
I really love how these pictures turned out. They were taken in a shadow-filled portion of our yard and gave the snow a really magical blue glow.
