Wanna Go?

Kenzie does all kinds of fun tricks these days. She helps us sweep the floors. We give her a swiffer, so all that productive energy isn’t wasted! She climbs the stairs –
Like. A. Big. Girl.

But most of the fun centers her growing ability to communicate. She’s got a cute little munchkin voice. She counts to 10 all by herself (in English and Farsi). She says Ready...set...GOOOO!! She grabs our hands and counts to three – so we’ll help her jump on... three. She nods her head and exclaims “huh!” – which means an emphatic "yes." She gets especially excited about anything we say that starts with a “Do you wanna...?”

It’s so cute, we exploit it a wee bit.
Kenzie, do you wanna go to the park? “Huh!” (that’s a no brainer)
Do you wanna go to the bank? “Huh!”
Do you wanna go to the landfill? “Huh!”
All these “wanna go’s” are equally exciting to our toddler.

For a visual, picture telling a dog that they are about to go for a walk. Kenzie gives similar reaction to a “Do you wanna....” prancing, twirling, dancing, and clapping her hands with glee.
