Better than an "I Love Lucy" episode..
Stress makes us stupid...or me anyway.
Today, Doug deserved some beers with some good friends. However, he left before my work day was finished and left me with the Kenzie girl..and left me feeling a bit frazzled. (I have a business trip and huge agency function this week).
So, I proceed to clean up some dishes that were languishing in the sink. Toss 'em into the dishwasher and squeeze the last few drops of dishwashing detergent in. Hermmm...I think "That's not going to be enough." I arrived at the conclusion that I'll just add a FEW drops of dishsoap. That ought to do the trick. Did it. Turned that baby on. ACTUALLY thought to myself..chuckle, chuckle, wouldn't Lucy have done something like this -- but used WAY to much soap. Ha..ha..ha...HA!
The phone rings. It's work. Kenzie wants to go outside. We do. We come back in while I'm still talking to work. An "OH SHIT" immediately escapes my mouth as bubbles are pouring out of the dishwasher. I share the story with work - feeling like an absolute moron. Finish the call and then spend well over an hour dipping bubbles by tupperware container full out of the machine, removing the trays, and then soaking up the remaining water and bubbles with towels. I also used a Turkey Baster to suck the remaining liquid settled in hard to reach areas. (now that's using my brains, eh??)
The Moral to this story - a few drops of dishsoap -- GO. WAY. FURTHER. THAN. YOU. MIGHT. EVER. ANTICIPATE.
P.S. I'm really not as stupid as this post might imply!! :)
