1st day of Preschool, 2008
The school year has finally resumed and we're so excited about it! We decided to start the day off right with a breakfast followed by a special treat. Nothing like going to school all hopped up on sugar, right???
We figured these must be good since two of our favorite bloggers have posted about them now. And... we agree.. they are totally yummy!
After the tasty treats (& some lunch) we headed off to school. The "drop off" included a dash to the door & the "I'm so happy I'm at preschool dance" out in front of the school.
As was the case last year...there were sobs and sniffles from most of the other kids. Kenzie just walked in like she didn't have a care in the world. Her Mama loves the bravery!
**an aside about the outfit: I found the skirt and the cutest shirt to go along with it, only to discover the shirt was too big upon coming home with it. Daddy took the shirt back to the store and came back with one in purple, since the right colored one was sold out. So, we made due with an old shirt, since it was the only one that truly matched. THEN, the preschool rules state that the kids must wear tennis shoes. At the last minute, we discovered Kenzie's feet had grown and all her cute models were too small. So, she went in some grungier shoes and looked a wee bit more mismatched than I'd intended for her first day!

Maren asks for "sugar balls" about 4 times a week. If I obliged, I'd have to spend about 15 bucks a week on crescent rolls :)
Happy first day back, she's changed so much since last year!
awwww i think she looks precious in her outfit...i am diggin that long skirt too....she is such a ham...i love it
