She's a dancing queen...
...and we forgot the camera.
Yesterday, we informed Kenzie that after her nap - we'd be attending a wedding dance. She awoke with glee, exclaiming she was ready to go to the "dance."
OK, so we forgot to tell her the part where she'd have to sit in the carseat for an hour and a half AND THEN sit QUIETLY during the wedding...before we got to the dancing part. We managed to make it through the ceremony without TOO MANY loud exclamations about the "ballerinas" all dressed up in wedding finery. It was a tedious event, with Mama pulling out every lip gloss and piece of junk from my purse to keep her quiet for another 2.5 seconds. We made it. (and I'll even admit that Kenzie was chewing a half a pack of gum by the end of the wedding).
And, then came the dancing part. Kenzie was dressed in the cutest little bohemian dress and immediately found the dance floor. Standing there and wiggling through all the toasts and pictures...and then the dancing started. She was the life of the party. She danced until well after 10:00, showing no signs of exhaustion until some lady stepped on her foot in a high heeled shoe.
So stinking cute. Except that any time Mama, Daddy, Nana, Poppy, or anyone familiar tried to join her... she'd push us away to resume dancing by herself. Just a gentle little shove to say - this floor is MINE.
Oh, dear, we're in for trouble with this little dancing star!! She's gotten a taste of the spotlight...and she LOVES it.
