Escape!!

What timing. I have finished a quilt meant to be folded at the end of Kenzie's new big girl bed (the lovely photo). I have purchased a twin bed headboard, and have been begun brainstorming a pallette for her new room.

And this Saturday, she stayed at Nana & Poppy's so Mama and Daddy could go out for a night of fun. Per report, she slept in until 9:30 a.m. (notable only because she never gifts us with this pleasure at home. She's always up at 7:00. Always.).

But somewhere around 9:30, the little squirrel woke up, and very quietly...climbed out of the crib. She happily told Nana and Poppy about her adventure on her way down the stairs. She climbed out. Of the cage. All by herself. Silently.

Eeek! The plans for the big girl transition are being expedited - although, thankfully, she did not try to crawl out of her crib at home {yet.} Perhaps her round crib doesn't allow for this at home, we are not sure. But escape seems possible...and imminent.

Operation Big Girl Room will be moving full speed ahead.
