Chef Kenzie Doodle
Today, we started our morning the same old way we normally do - with Kenzie exclaiming over-exuberantly that she'd like eggs for breakfast. She likes to crack the eggs and stir them herself. She does not like to EAT eggs.
Then we proceeded into a day of foods made by Kenzie. All by herself. Just like she insisted any time I tried to intervene.
First, a second breakfast. Pizza, bananas, and champagne, of course. (of the plastic & imaginary variety).
Then, she assisted Me while I prepared stuffed peppers and salad for dinner. What a helper.
Finally, to distract her from the daddy - whom was busily power washing the deck - we got a late-night idea to make cupcakes. Excitedly, we proceeded into the endeavor only to realize that our cupcake tin and paper cups were two different sizes. Ahhhh. That nearly screwed everything up as it was only an hour before bed and there would be no sleep until cupcakes had been licked. So, I pulled out a bundt pan and we made a cake instead. Jumped in the bath and came out just in time to slap some frosting on the cake (even though it was still too warm), and sprinkle it with Halloween sprinkles...and Yum.
Kenzie couldn't keep her mitts out of the mixture - much to my lecturing about how we shouldn't eat raw eggs. Like a two-year old is really gonna heed to that warning! Of course...by the time the cake was decorated & served - she said: "My tummy is AWFULLY full."
