Halloween '08 - The Grand Finale
Kenzie chose her new costume for Halloween, landing on this "pretty kitty" get-up. She wore it numerous times, to numerous different Halloween activities before tiring of it and moving on to other costumes in the dress-up stash.
The weather changed, and became super chilly, so we added in this fur sweater for some of the events:
The downer of Halloween day: Kenzie's preschool held a parade for the kids in their costumes. We got Kenzie dressed in her {cheerleader} costume of choice, walked to class since it was so beautiful outside & made it to the hallway where all the kids were lining up. This is where Kenzie exclaimed "I'm going to be sick!" Due to the public setting and the zillions of kids who could catch her ailment, we left, walked home...only to discover that Kenzie was just having a poop attack. She went to the bathroom and was FINE. So, she missed her parade and I missed the time to myself while she was at school. Fortunately, we didn't have to cancel any of the Halloween shenanigans planned for that night.
For Halloween night, she decided to be a "nice witch" which incorporated this costume that her Nana Bieker mailed her. She wanted pretty make-up to go along with it, so we broke out the face paints...heavy on the glitter.
We trick-or-treated our favorite street in the neighborhood, as as per usual, she was bored with begging for candy after that. The rest of the evening was spent with Nana, Poppy, Andrew & Aunt Annie out on the driveway while kids wandered up to our house. The night was beautiful, a perfect night for the Holiday.
Soon after the holiday ended, Kenzie learned she was the winner of the Junkin' Pumpkin contest, and is expecting her unique prize to arrive anytime. 2008 was another, most excellent, spooky Halloween holiday!
