Cuteness summary
Keeping up with Kenzie these days has left little time for this little online baby book, but I've been making mental markers of some cute things she's doing which I'll summarize now.
LUNCH: I've gotten into the habit of including Kenzie in age appropriate chores throughout our day -- including making lunch. We drag over her stepstool and she stands at the counter and completely assembles Doug's sandwich for lunch. The look of pride she displays when presenting him with his meal is just stinking adorable. We also make salads and other simple items. From this picture you can witness her disassembling romaine lettuce leaves (which aren't correct, but she doesn't care - and I "fix" it later). It's also an excellent way to get her to eat vegetables as occasionally she can't resist a big 'ole bite of pepper, carrot, etc. Here she is devouring our green pepper, which she loves.
BATTERIES: Kenzie learned with her battery operated tooth brush that when things don't work properly, they most likely need new batteries. Today, when coloring our zillionth happy face (which she now does on her own & includes a circle head, eyes, ears, mouth, hat, hair, arms & legs) she grabbed a white crayon. She colored. She looked perplexed. She colored again. Then, she exclaimed "It needs new batteries, it doesn't work!!" Obviously, when drawing on white paper there wasn't a fabulous color resulting from her efforts. Giggle. Needs new batteries.
BAND-AIDS: Booboo's are a regular event as she's a pretty active child. She won't allow me to ever cover a real boo-boo with a bandaid, but each morning she has a pretend boo-boo that needs one. This morning it was her nose that was ailing her.
CUCUMBERS and FLIP-HOPS: Her vocabulary is enormous and there is very little she can't say, however, sometimes there is a toddler twist on her words. Cucumbers are pronounced: Cucamama's. Flip-flops are Flip-hops. Excellent giggles are earned when she says something this cute of course...and not even a band-aid will stop her from continued conversations....
