I burped.
Today, we've been chauffering daddy around from home to the car shop, from the car shop to work, from work to lunch & back again...etc. We hit the road before breakfast this morning and we've learned a hard lesson. Doug has always been a grouchy hungry person. His 6'4" frame tells him when to eat, and it means NOW! Or, else he's grumpy, starving and sometimes dizzy. He progresses to feeling ill very quickly. We've seen Kenzie do this on one occasion - as well as this morning....
In the course of the morning, I figured I'd stop and get Kenzie something to eat after all the stops. She'd had a cup of milk, and I thought that would tide her over. Right after dropping Doug at work and -- no sooner had I turned around to invite her to a breakfast picnic in the front seat at Sonic...did I see cottage cheesy milk spewing from her mouth. We'd pushed it too long, and the hunger drove her to pukesville. Gross. I stopped and cleaned her up and threw the Sonic idea on the ground with the cottage cheesy stuff. We headed straight home to have breakfast and clean up (please do -- go ahead, and imagine the horrid smell trapped in the car and festering all over the carseat...while it rained and prohibited us from opening the windows! ..It's still trapped in there as we pleasantly noted during our lunch run. ..It'll still be there when we pick him up after work.) She got sick for the second time about two blocks from the house -- and then smooshed it in my hair when I went to remove her from the carseat.
Luckily though, after a piece of toast & banana - she's back to normal and highly pleasant. Note to Mommy: Don't delay breakfast again.
I guess the funny part of the story is that in that: "I just puked and now I feel GREAT" period, Kenzie joyfully told me over and over.... "Mama, I Burped!!" .. "Mama, I Buuuurped!!" Fortunately, we haven't experienced yucky tummies enough to know the correct terminology - so I thought this was rather cute (well, in light of the rest of the story).

Oh Stacy, I'd love to tell you that is the only time....our youngest, you know her name, tends to be the one to "burp". I can't even count all the times! And, she's usually not sick. Just hot or stuffy or something like that! Invest in wipes for the car and lysol!
