Advent
We've begun another advent journey to Christmas. This year, I've tried to add more creative activities into our calendar (with some optional replacements for those days where we draw a dud or don't have the energy to make it happen. :)
Kenzie is stoked. Today, for Day 1, she helped insert our activities into our calendar. Rylan, however, would just like to walk around in more circles, please?
Here's what we'll be up to -- I'll post pictures when fitting:
Get Christmas book (& Elf)
Make Sock Snowmen
Make Twig Stars
Make Dough Ornaments
Take annual photo of family reflected in Christmas ball
Roast Marshmallows in the Fireplace
Use Christmas Cookie Cutters on Breakfast Toast
Have hot chocolate with candy cane stirs
Make Apple Cider & Fried Snowflakes (using Xmas cookie cutters)
Christmas Pedicures
Dance Like Crazy to Christmas Music
Have a picnic under the Christmas tree
Get a fancy hot chocolate at Starbucks
Make Reindeers (with hand shapes)
Make Candy Cane Mouse
Write letters to Santa
Cut snowflakes from wrapping paper and string them together into a festive garland.
Donate a Toy to a Charity Christmas Tree
Dance like crazy to Christmas music
Watch a Christmas movie with popcorn
Take a drive (or walk) to see Christmas lights
Make a snowman out of paper (or snow)
Learn how to say Merry Christmas in sign language {again}
Paint Kenzie's face like Rudolph.
Color Christmas pictures for the grandparents & cousins.
Make art from our Christmas cards
Make Christmas Candy or cookies.
Read a Christmas story, open one gift, and leave out milk and cookies for Santa.
