Inactive blogging, but active life...
As has been demonstrated by my inactivity over the past week...time has continued to be a struggle. This too shall pass, but when?? Fortunately, Christmas shopping is about over, and will no longer be an item on the action item list! We've been challenged by a buyer with numerous ridiculous offers on our home this week, and although I am wishful that we could ignore them and they'd just go away - we've been trying to negotiate something that's workable. I think, however, that will be fruitless and they'll go away empty-handed..and we'll remain owners of a lovely home in a rotten real estate market.
Kenzie has been really fun recently, and simultaneously a wee bit challenging with an evasive appetite, 4 eye-teeth coming in, and the evolution of a stronger "will." Her vocabulary is enormous for her age which is fun, but sometimes just impossible to decipher. We held a private Christmas the other night, and she dramatically (with OOooh's, Aaaah's, & Wows) opened several gifts which I'd purchased here but had no intention of taking them with us for the real holiday celebration to be held in the Midwest. I bought her an alphabet puzzle, some fun beads for stringing, and a new sign language video. She quickly opened the toys, played for a wee bit and then commensed with sticking the packaging tape to the floor. We are also enjoying the new sign language video and she's learning new signs, but simultaneously being reminded of food-stuff's which she promptly requests and then won't eat. Apples, cereal, crackers -- all yummy sounding until the time has been invested in retrieving them for her.
Since we will soon be departing from this home, I wanted to record pictures of the hand-drawn bugs from her buggy room. I always intended to further the drawings, but with redecorating a whole house in a year and a half -- have never made any progress. The next room will be much more involved though - I swear. And am looking forward to that!!

oh my goodness, that is wonderfull. I just love it. I have always wanted to do something of that sort but never had the courage. You did an amazing job.
Thanks Dana! You know...it is just paint. If it doesn't look good - you just paint over & try again!! You can do it!!
