Join me for more whining.
1. Bad Luck #1: The untimely leak, sopping wet cabinets, quick growing mold, cost us a fortune to fix. The “build-back” crew finally did their project and it’s done...but well, it definitely doesn’t look like the incident never happened. AND, build-backing, doesn’t mean repainting. We still have that little project to complete for ourselves.
2. Bad Luck #2: The car bumper got smashed. It’s going to cost a fortune to replace. The estimates make me seizure.
3. And the grand finale – yes, it’s proof that bad luck does travel in three’s. The demolition guys broke the panel they removed from the dishwasher and it will NOT go back on. Not to mention that they threw away the “trim” parts that cover the ugly bottom. So, now we are in the market for a new dishwasher. Those of you whom are familiar with our home will remember that the floor must be ripped out to replace the dishwasher – which means the tiles in front of it which are PAINTED are going to be a major problem. We discovered this little treasure when the build-back crew finished their work. We are also envisioning that the installation people will refuse to do the plumbing, which will require another plumbing visit...and Gawd knows what else might spiral from this seemingly simple project!
So much for optomism.
Someone send me one of the “get good luck quick” emails. I’m forwarding every lucky one on that ever hits my inbox. And I’m sending it to MORE people than is required – I could use the extra good luck! (You know the ones....sappy, wordy, and if you send it to 124 people within 12.2 seconds of receiving it, you win good luck for 17 years?)
