Kenzie’s Words, May 2005
In addition to the April 28 word list, Kenzie has mastered a few more words and noises. Not only does she blow amazing firecracker noises out her bottom, but some pretty cute sounds come out of her mouth too.
Words we’re using in May:
MAMA!!!
HoT. (yes, that’s stress on the “T”)
On/Off – said way cute, but way wrong. Ahh?(high octave for on) Ahh? (low octave for off).
Animal sounds:
When asked what a snake says—She says Hissssssss.
When asked what a bee says – She says Tizzzz (her rendition of a buzz). Most frequently heard when she’s in her crib staring up at the bee I painted on her wall.
She associates the Roar with the bear now too...not just Mr. Lion.
When asked what a Racoon says, she sniff, sniff, sniffs...
Hand signals:
Eat
More
The Farsi gesture for “I love you” {picture repeatedly smacking your palm on your chest}.
Blowing Kisses....without the blowing part.
Knows she’s one index finger old...
And, she smells everything like it’s a flower. In our world, grass smells fabulous, rocks have a pretty odor, twigs are wonderful... I’m pretty sure she’d make a dramatic display of pleasure over smelling a kitty poo if she encountered it.
**April correction** Kenzie still says “up” A LOT, but it no longer sounds like “uppy.” I thought it was pretty cute when she said that in accidental question format – but it officially sounds like “up-pa” now.
