a baby brudder!!!

He's beautiful, but having some breathing troubles (which are apparently, common following C-sections). He's in the nursery for a mandatory "observation" and we're trying to be patient for him to come back. Without freaking out.

Kenzie is so, so proud. We all are.

Cleaning..

While we wait for the next babe ~ I'm cleaning closets, rooms, fridges, picture files. Nothing is safe from me!

Doing away with it all...

We had a lovely Valentine's Day, but we are slowly doing away with all the goodies...


We turn the cards into collage art. And, we do it at warp speed following giant doses of sugar.

Birthday Party Conversation

Further evidence that Kenzie is going to make me crazy as a teenager:

On our way to her classmate's birthday party today - she tells me:
"Mama, I love birthday parties. I love parties. I wish every day was a party!"

I'm pretty darn sure she gets that from her father. And, anyone who personally knows my husband, is shaking their head in agreement right now.

Countdown

We're running out of days as a family of three, but now...at least my kids have their rooms. Kenzie's floors are finally complete and she's moved back in to her little hardwooded paradise. She loves it. We had plans for a princess carpet, but she seems keen on her ability to do cool spinning dance moves on the bare floors ....for now.

She instructed her Daddy to clarify who is allowed into her room upon this sign.



The next thing out of her mouth was "cheetahs." But, he'd run out of room on the chalkboard.
What a crack-up.

Hannah Montana

We were working on our taxes. Kenzie entertained herself with her "most favorite song ever." After we finished our taxes we felt like dancing too.



(Unfortunately, our video camera isn't working so we had to use the camera phone and chop it into two parts.)

Beautiful day...

We were pleasantly surprised by an unseasonably warm day in the 70's!! In the middle of February!! Yay! We nixed our plans to go to the indoor free play gym and instead spent the ENTIRE day outside.




SOME of us ruined a perfectly good outfit.


It was fun to spend some time wandering with my gal, and nice to catch some last cute pictures of her as a singleton before officially becoming the big sister in 22 days.


Tomorrow is rainy and cold again. What a slap in the face...
