Lots of New Friends
Spring is so exciting now that the bugs are emerging, birds are a singing, and the toads & bunnies are a hopping.
WoW. There are a lot of bunnies.
Hope they leave our hostas alone this year!! And even though they wreak havoc on our plants, it's really hard not to wish the cute little creatures well....
Kenzie runs out to check on her "new friends" every few seconds. She directs her {real} neighborhood friends not to touch or bother them. There are several living aside our houses. A few are fat. A few look like their mommas need to come feed them.
Kenzie just loves animals, insects and other lifeforms so much. Soon, we will have many more live specimens for our study. Right. In. Our. Own. Home.
We've mailed off for butterfly larvae and ants for our art farm (birthday gifts). Maybe I'll be spending less time lifting rocks in search of worms, centipedes, rolly-pollies, etc? (yet probably transferring that time into redirecting thumps, bumps, and shakes to our little creature containers?)
