Childcareless days
Since Nanny Mary is only part time, there are at least two days per week that I have no aid. Those days are crazy... Fretting about the calls I need to make but can’t because Kenzie is dangling from my finger. Fretting about the tickles I could be getting in, but can’t because I’ve got a phone attached to my ear. This full-time work from home thing is very challenging indeed, and I thank Kenzie in advance for taking a really great nap(s) today!
I also extend my apology to whomever she prank calls, because I do indeed allow her to push those phone buttons whenever it buys me a few seconds to finish an email. She enjoys speaking with the recorded messages when she gets them (i.e. you have reached a number that is disconnected...or there is no need to dial a 1 before making this call...) I think she envisions that this is what phone calls are all about!
P.S. Go ahead, sigh and roll your eyes while thinking that's a stupid thing to allow. But sometimes in the scheme of navigating an angry, argumentative, questioning, worried, or confused client(simultaneous to insuring your child doesn't eat the pinecone decoration, throw a major tantrum, stick her finger in the fan, color on your walls, AND do a nose dive off of the couch....)one gets desperate.
